Strictly No, these collars are not compatible with 28mm/1 inch barbell sleeve diameter. It is only compatible or fits with 49.5-50mm or 2-inch sleeve diameter.

Undoubtedly, we would always recommend the aluminium one since it has a 4x extreme stronger grip than Plastic collars, which is capable of heavy drops even from the Overhead and even if the barbell loaded fully. On the other hand, Plastic collars are chosen as a budgetary option by those who don’t load the barbell sleeve beyond 70% of sleeve loading capacity and are not doing lifts that involve overhead droppings.
